SEARCH RESULTS FOR: wedding photography
Rebecca & Gary were married at St. Peter's church, East Drayton in Lincolnshire followed by a marquee reception on the bride's parents farm. They were photographed by Simon Mark Whitten of Firehorse Photography. This wedding was a 'classic English' summer wedding (picturesque country church, marquee, vintage Jaguar car, blue skies and sunshine) with a real outdoor feel and flavour with some stunning and delicate design touches by the bride herself. Rebecca imported the flowers in from the Netherlands and made pretty much all of the flower arrangement and 'vintage' detailing herself, with some To View More >>
We've just spent a great Monday afternoon browsing through the submissions for our Bragging Rights campaign, which closed last Friday. Thank you to everyone who participated! We had a terrific response from friends old and new. Plenty of weddings of course, but also engagement shoots, family portraits, maternity, pets, you name it. Different countries, cultures, locations and styles. So that was inspiring, but now comes the hard part – choosing! We're looking for twelve sets of images to showcase on our website, in our new season sample albums and books, and in our blogs and marketing pieces. To View More >>
We like to say “We’re local” wherever we do business, but this story is as local as you can get… When we asked our regular clients to complete a survey, we promised a free album to one lucky respondent. On my way to school one morning I picked up a hitchhiker who To View More >>
My two children are getting married, and In Part 1 I talked about how my eyes have been opened by the experience. What would my kids get if they hired a "professional photographer” for $3500.00 or so? Generally the photographer's time on the day, a DVD, no post work, often from someone who doesn't know how to give a "wedding day experience" on top of everything else. $3500 feels like too much money for that, but as I pointed out, the wholesale costs involved are too high to expect much more. Prices like that encourage couples to go shopping with unrealistically low budgets for photography … To View More >>
My son is getting married in six weeks, and my daughter next year in May. So everyone's asking, “ Who did you pick to photograph your kids’ weddings?" That's not what I asked myself. I asked the same question as the people who come and see me: "How much is this gonna cost?" The answer really opened my eyes… When I analyzed it, I'm paying the photographer and their assistant for their time that day, and they are giving me the files. After the wedding, I personally will edit, color correct, create 4x6 proofs, order a proof box, design an album, do the post production work, order the album, To View More >>
